The Fountain In Downtown Chico
While by the center fountain in downtown, Chico I observed a woman give out five cups of coffee she had purchased to the needy. This is such a great generosity to witness and observe and it seems there is plenty of it to go around. Though the homeless have been a growing problem for businesses, the people of Chico California continue to show them their support by offering them odd jobs, giving them recycling and food and overall continuing to show them that we are all a part of this community. Sadly shortly after I witnessed a major domestic disturbance right in the same area. A group of men and women were cussing and arguing, as well as violently swinging their arms and fists. A park ranger showed up shortly and wrote them a ticket. The group quickly dispersed thereafter. Just goes to show there are positive and negative sides to everything.
